Mimi Dorsey is a Certified Image Consultant based in Southern California. Her company Unique Image Design Consulting helps women and men define their personal style to support their own distinctive attributes and goals. She provides a completely individualized service to best suit each client's unique needs.

An informative and entertaining speaker, Mimi has provided seminars and workshops to a range of organizational sectors, from women's groups to insurance, health care to real estate. She is also a contributing writer to various publications, and is currently collaborating on the update of Alyce Parson's Universal Style manual, which will be published in April 2008.

Mimi holds a Masters of Business Administration from Cal State University Bakersfield, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Theater Performance. She is a certified member of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI), and holds the office of Vice President of Communications for the Southern California Chapter. She was named the SoCal Chapter Member of the Year for 2007 for service to the organization.

Prior to working in the image industry, Mimi worked 12 years in marketing for an import and export firm, where she worked with clients from many countries, in both business and social settings, learning dress requirements, correct etiquette in a cultural setting, as well as verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Mimi has worked in clothing retail for both national chains and specialty boutiques. As a stylist, she has helped with the wardrobes of individuals, as well as styled fashion shows and photo shoots for local press and individual portfolios, and has provided costuming for theatrical productions. A passionate shopper and reader of many fashion publications, she sources clothing from a number of resources, and tracks current trends, clothing brands, fabrics, and silhouettes.
